tick tock, tick tock.

You know..... I just want to be married. I know that its less than 90 days away, but lets just get this show on the road.  The odd thing about this is that I am FAR from being ready prepared. I still have a mountain of things to execute and a back yard to whip into shape and lets not even talk about my gym regimen..or lack thereof.

I think maybe I feel like there are REAL LIFE things to do, worry about, and accomplish. Are we focusing too much spending too much on this one event? What about after the wedding? What about before?? We're moving into a new apartment on the 24th! Wouldn't it be nice to be able to buy new furniture and house things that we will get to use for longer than one day??

I dont know. My practicality far outweighs my fairy tail visions of a wedding.

I want to be married and sit in our new apartment with our cats and our new dog.
Thats what I dream about.

Who's ready to go to Vegas?

Its time to get things goingg!!

Alright, we're almost at our 90 day mark (tomorrow!!), I think its time to stop being lazy and get things going. Ive got decorations to make, a back yard to clean up, and a vision to execute. LETS DO THIS!

My bridal shower is a month away! I cant believe it! Invites will be going out this week so ladies, watch your mailbox! WERE ALSO MOVING!!!!!! .....on the same day as my shower. lol. I get to have a party with all the women I love while Richard and all our male friends get to move us into our new apartment! I think this is COMPLETELY fair :)
We will be moving into an apartment in Glendora and I am SO SO SOOOOOOO excited. We have decided to postpone our big formal honeymoon so we can furnish and decorate our new place. We want to start this NEW chapter in our lives with all NEW things! We have already booked our "MiniMoon" for after the wedding and are very excited to have a nice relaxing long weekend as newlyweds.

Thats all of for now!

Prayers and love

Friends,
My beautiful and wonderful bridesmaid Darcy has just started a semester abroad in China! First let just me say that I love this girl soooo much. She has the purest heart and is just genuinely an amazing person and that's why I am just drawn to her. I admire her faith so much and find it profoundly beautiful. She has put her life on hold for 3 months to move to China and have this grand adventure working in a hospital and taking classes.... to say that this would be a little overwhelming would be a bit of an understatement. If you're the praying kind please include Darcy in your prayers. And if you're not, please just send some good thoughts and love her way!

I love you, Princess! Im so proud of you!

***if you'd like to follow along with her journey her blog can be found HERE!

Oh, how the time flies.

I'm sorry I've been a blog slacker!! Lets recap the last month for you!

- We got our save the dates!! AND I LOVE THEM!!!! My friend Kari custom designed them for us and they came out FABULOUS!! They came in bundles which were wrapped with twine and I of course decided that I LOVED the way it looked and needed to hand tie 100 save the dates with a twine bow. I also designed some little tags which had our website and the address for THIS BLOG so everyone can stay up to date. I then enlisted the help of some of my wonderful bridesmaids and we got to work!

The mess!
Michelle and Jessie are SO excited to tie twine bows!!

Heres the finished product!
Without the twine
Aren't they PERFECT!!!??! I love them!!

- I BOUGHT A WEDDING DRESS!!!!!!
Well, my mom and dad bought me a wedding dress!! I am SO THANKFUL for their help with this! I wont go into much detail about my dress, all you need to know is that its BEAUTIFUL and I look GORGEOUS in it. I love it so much and can't wait to wear it!!!! Buying the dress was the big "OMG" moment for me. Im. Getting. MARRIED!! I had a little panic attack because it wasn't until THAT moment that things became "real" for me. I have a dress, now everything is real. Its a crazy feeling knowing that your life is going to completely change in just a few months. I don't want you to mistake this feeling for hesitation, because I have absolutely NO hesitation.... It's just overwhelming.... in like the best way.  I'm so overjoyed that I literally might burst from excitement.

- Next step: Booking the honeymoon!! We're planning to do this in the next 3 weeks and I am stoked. This is what were both looking forward to most!! We just want to be married...and then go on an amazing trip together. The focus isnt on the WEDDING itself. Its about the MARRIAGE for us.

- Oh, I talked about the yarn balloons in a previous post. Here are some pictures. They came out great!!

Balloons wrapped in glue soaked yarn! Let them dry and....
Ta dah!!!!

- Did I ever show you the cards I made for our Flower girls and ring bearer??
Flowers and a bow tie...appropriate right?!
The kids loved them! And I thought they were soo cute that I pinned them on Pinterest :)

- As I'm sure you know, Richard and I are in a contest on Facebook with Valentina Glidden Photography to win an AMAZING engagement photo shoot!! THANK YOU to everyone who has voted, and I'm sorry for spamming your newsfeed  10 times a day campaigning for more votes!! WE REALLY WANT TO WIN!!!! We will find out tomorrow if we are the winners or not, so keep your fingers crossed!!!

Alright, I think thats enough for now!

Project #1: Sheet music confetti hearts

Do you know how many paper hearts it takes to fill up a jar.....?
THOUSANDS!!!
I am not exaggerating here people...thousands.
My idea is to use tiny hearts cut out of sheet music as confetti to throw and the bride and groom instead of rice or bubbles. And since Richard is a musician the sheet music makes complete sense :) Conceptually this idea seemed easy- take my overabundance of sheet music, plug in my Cricut and put that little baby to work. Realistically I didn't take into consideration the amount of tiny hearts it takes to fill up a jar....not to mention 3 or 4 jars! So after a day and a half of actually working on this project I'm still about 1/4 away from completing my first jar.

So here we have our first [almost complete] jar of heart confetti!

We're using 2 different heart shapes in various sizes: 1/2inch, 3/4in, 1in, & 1 1/2in.
Once ALL of the hearts are done we will be making little burlap satchels and putting a handful in each so that guests can shower us with love [get it...hearts...love..im funny!!!!!! ]

I'll keep you up to date with the progress.
Project #2: Yarn Balloon Balls is already underway!! Pics to come!
